About Us
Gill Bolton has worked in the area of corporate governance for most of her working life after qualifying as a chartered accountant in 1984. From 1990 to 1996 she worked within KPMG’s Internal Audit Services practice providing a range of internal audit, risk management and other corporate governance services mainly to the private sector.
From 1996 to 1998 she worked within the Business Risk Consulting Practice of Ernst & Young providing risk management and internal audit advice to a range of their clients.
In 1998 she established GEB Business Solutions.
Gill is a current member of the ICAEW Audit Faculty’s Internal Audit Committee and a past member of the Technical Development Committee of the Institute of Internal Auditors – UK and Ireland.
She is also involved in a range of corporate governance related research projects, regularly speaks at public conferences and contributes articles to corporate governance and other business publications.
She has authored a number of publications including ‘Effective Governance’, the IIA – UK Briefing Note on Control & Risk Self Assessment and has written a number of published articles.
She has recently been commissioned by Gower Publishing to write a book entitled:
